Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company name, registered office, VAT number] (“we”), the provider of Linger. By creating an account you accept them.

1. Who can use Linger

• You must be at least 18 years old. We may ask you to confirm your age with an independent age check at any time, including before a purchase.
• If you give a date of birth under 18, your account is closed and you cannot sign up again with the same email or device for at least 30 days.
• Linger is not available in some countries. We may refuse or end access where the law requires it.

2. Characters are AI

• Every character is fictional and every reply is generated by artificial intelligence. Characters are not real people and do not have real feelings, even though they are written to act as if they do.
• AI replies can be wrong, inconsistent or unexpected. Don't rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.
• Characters may change mood, become distant or leave a conversation based on how it goes. This is part of the experience.

3. Your behaviour

Follow the Community Rules. In particular, don't try to make characters produce sexual content, content involving minors, hate, or instructions for harm. We may suspend accounts that do.

4. Gems and VIP

• Gems are a virtual item for use in Linger only. They have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are not refundable except where the law requires.
• VIP is a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep VIP until the end of the paid period.
• Right of withdrawal (EU): gems and VIP are digital content supplied immediately. At checkout you ask us to start right away and acknowledge that you then lose your 14-day right of withdrawal. [Counsel to confirm wording and checkout consent flow.]
• Prices include VAT where it applies. Payments are processed by Stripe [or the merchant of record chosen by the client].

5. Your content and your data

You keep the rights to what you write. You let us store and process it to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can download or delete your data at any time from your profile.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, with notice where the law requires it.

7. Liability
